 It’s been 23 days since this patient was admitted to the hospital, and during all that time, not a single family member has come to visit him.

But every other day, a pigeon flies in and quietly perches beside his bed. It stays for a while—peacefully, as if keeping him company—and then it flies away.

Eventually, we learned that this man used to sit on a park bench near the hospital every day, feeding the pigeons with such kindness and care.

This small act of compassion came full circle. It reminded us all that sometimes, animals show more loyalty and heart than people do.”
